We are at the forefront of protecting airports, municipalities, correctional facilities, and major event venues.
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and strategic Business Development Associate to help drive the next phase of our growth. This role will focus on identifying, pursuing, and securing opportunities for our Drone Defense Vehicle across key markets-beginning with major airports and expanding into municipalities (Sheriff Departments), prisons, and open-top stadiums.
The ideal candidate is proactive, technically curious, relationship-driven, and excited to introduce revolutionary technology to critical security sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion: Identify, research, and prioritize potential customers in aviation security, municipal law enforcement, corrections, and stadium/event management sectors.
- Lead Generation & Outreach: Build and maintain a strong pipeline through cold outreach, targeted campaigns, partnerships, and industry networking.
- Client Engagement: Conduct product presentations, demos, and briefings with airport authorities, security directors, procurement officials, and other key stakeholders.
- Proposal Development: Assist in creating proposals, RFP responses, and quotes tailored to customer needs and procurement guidelines.
- Sales Strategy: Collaborate with leadership to refine go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and sales processes.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with airport executives, government agencies, integrators, and industry partners.
- Industry Intelligence: Stay current on drone security regulations, airport safety standards, public safety technology trends, and competitor developments.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with engineering, operations, and product teams to relay customer feedback and help shape product evolution.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Criminal Justice, Aviation Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage technically and strategically with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to generate leads, manage pipelines, and close deals.
- Ability to travel to airports, municipal agencies, trade shows, and client sites as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience selling to government agencies, airports, or public safety organizations.
- Background in defense, security systems, drones/UAS, or emerging technology.
- Familiarity with procurement processes for federal, state, and local government entities.
